About me
Hi, my name is Marcela!
Welcome to my website, which I’ve created as my portfolio – but it’s more than that!
I’m a self-taught creator with a passion for photography, graphic design, UX/UI design, and crafting meaningful user experiences.
In my professional life, I work as an E-commerce Lead, training volunteers and serving as an Induction Manager to help onboard new team members. Working in such a dynamic and diverse environment has instilled in me a deep sense of empathy and acceptance – values that I bring to every project.
While I’m deeply involved in the online retail space – including product photography – I’ve also had the opportunity to explore other areas, particularly visual merchandising for furniture displays. You can view examples of this work here.
As an E-commerce Learning Content Designer, I collaborated closely with the Communication and Development Manager to create educational resources explaining the fundamentals of e-commerce. I produced visually engaging content, including instructional videos and photography-based materials, covering topics such as how to take effective product photos, write compelling product descriptions, and pack parcels efficiently. I also travelled to a newly opened Oxfam store where I delivered hands-on training to new team members, guiding them step-by-step through e-commerce processes, from the basics to daily operations.
Photography was my first creative outlet. It sharpened my eye for detail and naturally led me to an interest in graphic design and UX/UI. Through a combination of self-led learning, online courses, and volunteer work with T-Learning as a UX Designer, I developed a strong foundation in user-centred design and web creation, including Figma prototypes and client-focused websites.

Currently, I’m collaborating with Holiday Time, a travel agency, where I manage their social media presence and create tailored content to engage their audience across platforms. My responsibilities include developing visual assets, planning content calendars, and ensuring brand consistency across promotional campaigns. This role allows me to combine strategic thinking with creativity, adapting content to different audiences and seasonal trends. I also work with The Water Tank Café, providing graphic design services for both digital and print. This includes designing promotional materials such as menus and posters that reflect the café’s unique character and atmosphere. I enjoy helping small businesses strengthen their visual identity and connect with their communities through thoughtful, well-crafted design.
Samples of my work with both clients are available here.
I also had the opportunity to design the website for Belgravia Driving, as well as being responsible for creating their logo and business cards. This involved developing a visual identity that aligned with their brand values, ensuring a user-friendly experience for visitors, and designing business cards that effectively reflected their professional image. This project allowed me to combine design with functionality, helping Belgravia Driving establish a strong online presence and connect with their target audience.
